The City of Walla Walla is a community partner of the Walla Walla Valley Blue Zones Project, a community-based wellbeing improvement initiative that aims to make it easier for people to live longer, better lives. Based on National Geographic research on the world’s longest living communities, the project is all about making healthy choices the easy choices.

Blue Zones Project works with the Walla Walla Valley community to create an even better place to live, learn, work, play and worship. When the entire community participates —from worksites and schools to our restaurants and grocery stores — small changes contribute to huge benefits for us all: lowered health care costs, improved productivity, and ultimately, a higher quality of life.
