Contracted tree pruning and removal work, is currently taking place at Mountain View Cemetery to reduce and eliminate hazardous limbs and trees. The tree removals are unfortunately necessary due to hazards presented from extensive rot and decay. The pruning work is intended to extend the longevity of the Cemetery’s trees by removing rotten or overextended limbs to reduce the magnitude and potential of future limb failures. This work is not only necessary for the health of the trees, but also for public safety and preservation of burial spaces, including grave markers.
