What is CDBG?

In 2014, the City began receiving an annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

This program provides grants for neighborhood revitalization, affordable housing, and/or to improve community facilities and services. All projects and programs must principally benefit low-and moderate-income persons.

City of Walla Walla’s 5-yr average allocation is $394,909 and varies year to year.

Our window to accept pre-applications for the 2025 CDBG Program Year has closed.  Please see below for additional information on this funding opportunity.

This program provides grants for affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, public infrastructure, community facilities, and public services. All projects and programs must principally benefit low-and moderate-income persons within the City of Walla Walla.
