City Clerk

The City Clerk division ensures access to City public records; handles the recruitment of volunteers for boards, commissions, and committees; processes contracts and agreements; composes and issues legal notices; supports the Fire Pension Board and LEOFF 1 Disability Board; and calculates and processes pension adjustments and medical payments.

Communications

The Communications Division serves as the City’s main contact for media, government agencies, and other groups. Communications staff help to curate the City’s website and social media presence, and produce print and video projects.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

CDBG is a grant program the City manages to fund projects such as sidewalk and ADA ramps, home repairs, playground equipment, public services, and more.

Fleet Services

Fleet Services maintains and repairs all City-owned vehicles and equipment. It also finances and schedules replacement of equipment for City departments.

Risk Management maintains all liability, auto, machinery, crime, and fidelity insurance for the City; processes claims for and against the City; and is responsible for programming and audits to reduce risk exposure.
