Appropriate Swimwear

Veterans Memorial Pool is a family-friendly place to be. Due to the varied community members who visit the pool each day, we request that all patrons dress appropriately.

Swimwear Allowed

• Board shorts and swim trunks
• Swim diapers and vinyl covers with swimsuit
• Aqua/water shirt and rash guards
• Modesty swimwear
• Standard bikini or swimsuit

Swimwear Not Allowed

• Thong bikini
• Disposable diapers
• Jeans, cut-offs, jean skirts, etc.
• Lingerie, underwear, or boxers
• Basketball/gym shorts

Additional Details

Diaper only is not allowed. Swim diaper and swimsuit/vinyl covering must both be worn.

RATIONALE: Regular diapers fill with water and fall apart inside the pool, leaving contaminants that can hurt the water and filtration system.

All attire worn in the pool must be made of material meant for swimming pools.

RATIONALE: Certain materials scratch the slides and play structures. Buttons and zippers can fall off and get stepped on or damage our filtration system. Additionally, inappropriate swim wear takes on a lot of water and becomes heavy which makes it harder to swim.

Brazil/French-cut, thong style and/or any revealing swim wear is not allowed.

RATIONALE: Veterans Memorial Pool is family-friendly facility and is a comfortable place for children to have fun where ALL patrons dress and act appropriately.

It is the patron's responsibility to have proper swim attire. Patrons who enter the pool without proper swim attire will be asked to either change OR exit the pool immediately. Refunds will not be issued for improper swim attire.

ALL pool staff can and will enforce swim attire requirements.
