Adaptive Swim Friday has completed for the 2024 Summer Season. Check back in May 2025 for details about the 2025 Adaptive Swim Friday season!
Swim your way!
Adaptive Swim Friday at Veterans Memorial Pool is a time for those individuals with physical, cognitive, or sensory impairments to come and enjoy the pool without the overstimulation that Open Swim time often provides.
Simply being in water can give a big boost in physical fitness, helping to make exercising easier on joints and muscles while strengthening the heart. Plus, the social benefits of Adaptive Swim Friday helps swimmers meet other people with disabilities who enjoy similar activities, giving the chance to connect with like-minded people and expand social circles.
