This is the second event in the Big Idea Talk series of three winter programs called The Great American Read.  Local English professors selected personal favorites from The Great American Read list featured on PBS and will discuss themes of other worlds, identity, and love.  

Susan Gardner and Cynthia Westerbeck, Professors of English at Walla Walla University, both specialize in British literature during Jane Austen's time. They will reflect on what we do for love, as depicted by the different types of relationships in Pride and Prejudice.
