We recognize the importance of working with the business community to make Walla Walla a great place to live, work, and play. From time to time, we have opportunities for businesses to help us achieve this goal. When promoting events in press releases, on social media, in utility bill newsletters, or email newsletters, we may recognize sponsors by displaying logos, tagging their social media accounts, or otherwise mentioning the name of the business in promotional materials. We cannot, however, promote the products or services offered by businesses. Mentioning sponsors for City-related activities or programs is not an endorsement of their products or services, but rather an acknowledgement of their generosity.
- Block party support – Each summer, the City of Walla Walla presents four block parties, one each month, in different neighborhoods in order to build stronger connections between neighbors and between community members and their government. The block parties feature free pizza, ice cream, games, prizes, and music.
- Emergency supply buckets – The City is raising awareness about emergency preparation. At each City-sponsored summer block party, we are giving away 5-gallon buckets full of emergency supplies.
- Mobile charcoal grill – The City owns a large, tow-behind grill. It needs a few improvements, including sandblasting, painting, and minor metalwork repairs. Ideally, this grill would be available for use by community members for gatherings.
