There will be a a Drug Take Back Day and Shred Truck Fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30.
April 29 drop off locations include the Walla Walla Police Department, 54 E. Moore St., and the Waitsburg Fire Station, 234 Main St. The Sunday, April 30 drop off location is the Wal-Mart parking lot, 1700 SE Meadowbrook St.
Citizens can safely dispose of unused or expired medication, any kind of electronic device, and up to four grocery bags of paper documents. At the Walla Walla Police Department and Wal-Mart, needles, syringes, and lancets will be accepted. Please place those items in a safe container, such as a plastic bottle or container.
The Walla Walla Area Crime Watch is accepting cash donations at the shred truck. All funds will continue the work of Crime Watch in supporting area crime prevention programs and community education with the purpose of reducing crime victimization and the fear of crime.
Mercury thermometers, oxygen tanks, and chemotherapy or radioactive substances will not be accepted.
