The night crew has taken over for the day crew and will work for the next 12 hours, with eight plows, three loaders (for clearing intersections and alleys) and one truck laying down deicing material.
During their Friday shift, the day crew completed the East and West priority routes and began plowing in Area 1, covering the northwest part of the city.
The night crew expects to complete Area 1 and move to Area 4 — northeast Walla Walla — plus the downtown priority routes and City-owned parking lots.
If you have to be out and about tonight, please give yourself extra time to get to your destination, be alert on the roadway, keep your distance from plows and other vehicles, and give yourself plenty of braking space.
